Why I built this
I kept buying technical books — DDIA, SICP, the classics — reading them cover to cover, and retaining almost nothing six months later. I'd look at my bookshelf and feel like a fraud. All those ideas, just gone.
The irony is that these books are incredible. They're vetted, structured, written by people who spent years distilling hard-won knowledge. The source material isn't the problem. We just never had a good system to make it stick.
"AI can extract the knowledge; spaced repetition can lock it in. Everyone deserves a course built from their own books."
I tried Anki. Making cards by hand for a 500-page book is a second job. We have much better tooling now. AI can extract the knowledge; spaced repetition can lock it in. Everyone deserves a course built from their own books, with an agent that adapts to how they learn.
That's what Learnedly is. Your books, turned into courses, taught back to you at the right time.
